NC State, 杏巴原创CC Partner for Free Career and College Seminar
杏巴原创 will welcome representatives from North Carolina State University to campus Monday, Nov. 23, to present information about the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and other programs at NC State.
Dr. Richard Linton, dean of NC State鈥檚 College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will talk about the importance of careers in agriculture and NC State鈥檚 admission process for these programs.
Dr. Sam Pardue, associate dean and director of academic programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will also be talking about college programs and admission preparations.
Parents, students and members of the community are invited to attend this free seminar to learn about NC State鈥檚 programs and transfer opportunities for graduates of 杏巴原创CC.
NC State University and 杏巴原创CC have signed articulation agreements for transfer programs in Agricultural Science and Poultry Science. In these programs, students complete two years at 杏巴原创CC, where they earn an associate degree, and then enter NC State as a junior to complete a bachelor鈥檚 degree.
Representatives from NC State held a similar informational seminar on 杏巴原创CC鈥檚 campus in the spring.
鈥淲e are excited to welcome Dr. Linton and Dr. Pardue back to our campus to once again share career and college information with our students and prospective students,鈥 Dr. Dale McInnis, president of 杏巴原创CC, said. 鈥淲e foster educational partnerships between our College and other colleges and universities to provide our students with opportunities to further their education beyond a two-year degree.鈥
The seminar will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Cole Auditorium on the College鈥檚 main campus in Hamlet. There is no cost to attend. For more information, call (910) 410-1700.
