ӰԭCC Days: Explore Your Local College with a Big Impact
April 29, 2025 – Ӱԭ will be hosting ӰԭCC Day on Wednesday, May 7, at the Hamlet Campus and Thursday, May 8, at the Scotland County Campus from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
“This is a great time for people to come onto campus and have real conversations about getting into a career with zero college debt,” said ӰԭCC President Brent Barbee. “The demands of today’s workforce are different from just a few years ago, and we have made many changes that aligns with those needs. We have also made it more affordable for our students to continue their education at top North Carolina universities.”
The ӰԭCC Days are being held in conjunction with the Graduation Fairs for students graduating on May 21. Any student who brings or refers a friend or family member to come to ӰԭCC Day at either campus will be entered into a raffle for extra tickets for the graduation ceremonies (both morning and afternoon), plus other prizes.
What to Do on ӰԭCC Day?
- Sign up for summer, fall and spring classes.
- Learn about financial aid and scholarships.
- Complete free applications.
- Meet one-on-one with a student advisor.
- Take a personalized campus tour.
- Set up a FREE Career Coach account.
- Get information about Building Brighter Futures, a program that helps individuals recovering from addiction and/or recently released from prison turn their lives around.
- Get information about Access to Achievement, which is connecting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to resources that will help them succeed in school and beyond.
- Eat at the ӰԭCC Cafe or food truck!
